There’s this small, family-run Chinese restaurant by my house. They have the best damn chow mein I’ve ever had, and the entrees are also pretty good.

Which one? Decent Chinese is hard to find up here (pretty much all of it is crap). All we have is Japanese, Teriyaki, Thai, Indian, a little Vietnamese, and a tiny bit of Mexican (most of it is hot plate crap; real Mexican is rare).

There are very few Chinese people on this side of the mountains, too. There are tons of Japanese people and quite a few Thais, though.

Considering the amount of good Chinese food in Vancouver, BC, it's baffling how little there is in Seattle...
